A non-fungible token is a unique unit of data that contains the identity, provenance, history, and all activities surrounding a digital asset. Stored on the blockchain and encoded using Smart Contract technology, each NFT can only be owned by one entity at a time. NFTs are widely used as proof of ownership of unique assets, such as fine art and other collectibles.

The NFT is not the artwork itself. It’s a piece of code that includes metadata of where to find the artwork, who owns it, and the value of the artwork. The code is stored permanently and cannot be changed. NFTs provide proof of ownership and offer unique features for collectors/holders, such as price transparency, provenance, and authenticity. More importantly, NFTs can be interacted with and viewed in ways beyond traditional media capabilities.

If the transaction happens on Ethereum, you may be charged a gas fee on top of the fixed selling price. Gas fees are transaction fees for using Ethereum. They are paid in ether and vary according to the current demand of the blockchain, which means that fees can be higher during peak hours. If the transaction happens on other blockchains, less gas fees are involved.

Yes, you can sell your NFTs via the secondary market. You might be charged a fee for secondary sales. Perpetual royalties for artists and institutions are standard for crypto art. The 10% fee ensures that the artists we work with are fairly compensated when their work changes hands.
